C is for “Cars” my submission for this week’s AlphaBands challenge. One of the earliest albums I ever bought with my own money was “Heartbeat City.” The cover is the best.

A is for Alt-J. Their song “Fitzpleasure” was an obsession of mine last summer. For the AlphaBands challenge.

B is for B-52s. One of my favorite bands of all time, and the amazingly luminous Kate Pierson is hugely talented. For the AlphaBands challenge.

Sketch of a cousin. I’ve never seen her with her hair down ever. But her top is very bohemian, don’t ya think?

Skyler from #breakingbad - not my best in the series thus far, but I asked myself this same question this very week.

"I" is for Iron Giant - my submission for the AlphaBots challenge
The animated version of this really sweet book came out after I was an adult, but it still made me take notice of director Brad Bird. I think if that guy works hard, he’ll do alright.
In my version, the Iron Man realizes his true gift is in creating abstract sculptures.

"H" is for "Hal 9000" from 2001: A Space Odyssey.  This is my entry in the AlphaBots challenge.
While the 1968 film was a little before my time, I remember watching it on TV with my parents when I was far too young to have any framework to understand it, and it completely wigged me out.  The visuals, the monkeys, the voice of calm authority that just wants to kill you. Good times.
In my version, I imagine Dave gets a bit drunk and just longs for the midnight fast food run. And Hal, with his infinite patience has to rebuff his advances.

G is for “Inspector Gadget”, my entry into the AlphaBots challenge.
He’s a beloved cyborg-uncle-bumbling detective that was voiced by the wonderful Don Adams (Get Smart) for a 3-year run from 1983-1986. Part man, part ill-timed gadgetry, he was the first superspy for many a child.
In my version, I pose the question, what would happen when his niece, Penny - who solved all the crimes with her trusty dog Brain anyway - got the gadget to end all gadgets,…an iPhone.
